Every eCommerce platform is looking for more ways to connect with its users. And this is no exception for GrabFood, which serves millions in Indonesia, the largest eCommerce market in South East Asia. They came to us for a new way to make their users' experience with their chatbot on LINE a little more special.
We turned this experience into a mini-game for the users. Featuring the character Pong, users could evolve and alter its appearance with every action they make. This took advantage of LINE’s sticker system, allowing for illustrations for new features and emotions to be easily added. Leveling Pong to the max level gives the user a chance to win weekly prizes. However, leave Pong alone for too long and its level will drop.
As the project will be localised by the GrabFood Indonesia team, we provided them a guide to bring the project to life. This included a wireframe as well as the tone that Pong communicates in.
